I’ve worked in TV and film for over twenty years after joining the BBC to work with Sir David Attenborough on the series State of the Planet. I’ve been fortunate to travel the world producing and directing on internationally renowned documentaries and I now bring a wealth of high quality broadcast experience to research and enterprise taking place in the UK.

My early career started with a PhD in Evolutionary Biology and I have continued to work alongside scientists and researchers on an almost daily basis – translating and bringing discoveries and ideas to life on screen.  It’s been a real privilege to be able to film ground-breaking research and meet the people behind it.

I’m a video producer and science writer with fourteen years experience working within government, research councils, large charities and academic institutions. I have a Masters in Entrepreneurship in Science and Technology and in a previous life, I was a researcher for the BBC and a Hollywood feature film!

I specialise in environmental and health sciences and am skilled at making sure your project can resonate with different audiences from schools to policymakers.  Although my primary focus is video production, I’m also an experienced publications editor and can help with your supporting articles, web pages and reports.  At Bluefire films, we like to think of the whole communications package.

My background is in video editing for broadcast television and have a track record of factual and science programming for UK and international broadcasters. I’ve illustrated passionate essays from Richard Dawkins and Stephen Hawking, delivered action-packed explosion fests for Discovery Channel, and even spent three months embedded in the gardens of Blenheim Palace.

I’ve worked in community video and installation films and relish helping people to tell their own stories and achieve their own ambitions.

I have a keen sense of editorial balance, visual creativity and a drive for perfection. I strive to learn new animation techniques with every project.
